Torres Wins Player Of The Month Award

Fernando Torres was today presented with the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month award after tearing up defences throughout September.



The 25-year-old blasted five goals in three league games during the month, including an awesome hat-trick against Hull City at Anfield.

The other two came at Upton Park when Torres was the difference in a narrow 3-2 victory.

The Spain international previously won the award in February 2008.

It was last won by a Liverpool player in March when Steven Gerrard collected the trophy.
